Yellowcard

Yellowcard is an alternative/punk-pop right out of California. If fact, they even have a song name titled "Ocean Ave." But enough about coincidences. On Lights and Sounds(Yellowcard's current release, which is definitely better than Ocean Ave.), the band sounds light years away from their old material like One for the Kids. Granted, the band still trades in the immediate melodies and heart-on-sleeve lyrics that they've used since the beginning. Regardless, Lights and Sounds ends up being the band's most accomplished works yet.

Recommended listens: "Lights and Sounds," "Martin Sheen or JFK," "City of Devils," and "Rough Landing, Holly." Enjoy.
